Fellow Didactic Series

This series is a weekly yearlong course offered virtually to consult liaison and reproductive psychiatry fellows across the US. Fourth year residents enrolled in a reproductive psychiatry track of the fellowship are also welcome to attend.

As an integral part of our mission, the National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry (NCRP), has developed an interactive and web-based national curriculum designed for use by residency and other academic teaching programs, with the goal of fostering a deeper understanding of reproductive psychiatry. This award-winning national series involves teaching NCRP materials to consultation-liaison and reproductive psychiatry fellows, as well as PGY4 psychiatry residents completing a women’s mental health track.

This sub-series is led by:

Dr. Neha Hudepohl, Dr. Lindsay Standeven, Dr. Claire Smith, and Dr. Lindsay Lebin.

What to Expect

Each year, the series runs weekly from August through mid-June of the following year. Sessions will cover a wide range of reproductive psychiatry topics utilizing NCRP materials and taught by subject matter experts, as well as several “ask the expert” sessions facilitated by leaders in the field. We do ask that fellowship programs commit to supporting participation on a weekly basis.

To support the Intensive teaching efforts provided by the NCRP Fellows Series Faculty, we ask for an enrollment fee as follows:

– $500 for 1-2 trainees enrolled

– $100 for each additional trainee

Sample topics covered in past series:

  • Overview of Reproductive Life Cycle
  • Overview of Prescribing in Pregnancy
  • Psychiatric Emergencies
  • Perinatal Depression

  • Postpartum Psychosis
  • Perinatal Anxiety
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
