Support the future of reproductive health education.

Why Support NCRP?

The National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry (NCRP) is transforming how clinicians are trained to recognize and treat psychiatric disorders during reproductive transitions-an area of medicine that has historically been overlooked despite its profound impact on individuals and families. With your support, we can continue to close critical gaps in education by providing high-quality, evidence-based training to psychiatrists, OB-GYNs, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals. Donor contributions allow us to develop new modules, expand our reach, and ensure that every clinician has the tools to deliver compassionate, informed care during pregnancy, postpartum, menopause and beyond. Your investment in NCRP is an investment in better mental health outcomes for future generations.

  • Expand Access: Support allows us to continue to offer our curriculum at no cost to residency and fellowship programs-particularly those without local expertise in reproductive psychiatry-broadening access to evidence-based training nationwide.

  • Drive Innovation: Your investment helps us develop new, innovative content and virtual learning formats that meet the evolving needs of trainees and practicing clinicians across disciplines.

  • Advance Equity: By equipping a diverse healthcare workforce to recognize and treat reproductive mental health conditions, your support helps reduce disparities and improve outcomes for historically underserved populations.

Over 50% of psychiatric patients are women. Over 80% of women will have at least one pregnancy and 50% of these are unplanned.

Up to 20% of pregnant women and 13% of women who have just given birth worldwide experience a mental health condition, primarily depression. In developing countries, this can be even higher.

%

A 2015 study found that only 59% of psychiatry residency programs required any level of training in reproductive psychiatry, and only 36% believed all residents needed to be competent in the field.
