NCRP & MONA: A Valued Partnership

The National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry (NCRP) is proud to partner with the Marcé Society of North America (MONA) to advance education and care in perinatal mental health. MONA’s support of NCRP’s mission and vision is a testament to the quality of our curriculum, and they endorse us as a premier educational resource for clinical professionals.

The Foundation of Our Collaboration

NCRP and MONA share a long-standing commitment to improving the understanding, prevention, and treatment of mental health disorders during the perinatal period. In 2017, the National Task Force on Women’s Reproductive Mental Health, the group that developed the NCRP, merged its curriculum efforts with those of MONA. This collaboration is the foundation for our shared vision and expertise to create a comprehensive, innovative curriculum.

By combining our resources, we were able to develop a curriculum that can be used flexibly, either as individual modules for residency education or in its entirety as a rigorous fellowship curriculum. The partnership has been instrumental in fulfilling our shared goal to provide a top-tier training resource that is both accessible and based on the highest standards of care.

A Shared Mission for Global Impact

The Marcé Society of North America’s mission—to advance research, clinical care, advocacy, and education in perinatal mental health—is directly aligned with the core principles of the NCRP. Our curriculum directly supports MONA’s mission by:

  • Promoting Excellence in Clinical Care: By providing evidence-based, rigorous training, we equip clinicians with the skills to deliver the highest quality of care to childbearing individuals and their families.
  • Encouraging Professional Development: We support MONA’s vision of a highly skilled, diverse, multi-disciplinary professional staff by providing an accessible and comprehensive curriculum that fosters continuous learning.
  • Translating Science into Practice: The NCRP serves as a critical tool for translating scientific knowledge into practical, real-world application, bridging the gap between research and effective clinical practice.

This partnership is a powerful example of how collaboration can lead to significant advancements. Together, we are working toward a world where every family can enjoy the benefits of mental health and well-being.
